Mon 1 Mark 14 1-11	We pray for the work of “Caring Hands in the Community” in Chatham as they receive harvest gifts for their work among the homeless and unemployed.
Tue 2 Mark 14 12-25	Early Steps – looking at “Helping our Neighbours” Thank you Father, for all who bring their children for baptism and pray that the preparation this evening would help parents appreciate the commitment they will be making.
Wed 3 Mark 14 26-42	Pray for young people beginning new courses at universities and colleges and especially for those away from home for the first time.
Thu 4 Mark 14 43-52	All things are possible to him who believes, yet more to him who hopes, more still to him who loves and most of all to him who practices and perseveres in these three virtues.
Fri 5 Mark 14 53-65	Ruth Johnson and Nina Chance are to be licensed with others at St George’s, Gravesend, on Sunday evening, 7^th. We give thanks to God for the ministry of Pastoral Assistants in this parish and pray especially for Ruth and Nina.
Sat 6 Mark 14 66-end	Pray for St Paul’s DCC today as they meet at West Malling Abbey. It is an opportunity especially for prayer and looking at the “bigger picture”.
Sun 7 Ps 141	Harvest Festival at St Matthew’s and All Saints’. As we give thanks for God’s rich gifts to us, we pray for those with less than enough and our generous support of the Poverty and Hope Appeal.
Mon 8 Mark 15 1-15	Pray for all attending the Parish 4 Gospels One Jesus course at St Matthew’s, for fresh insights on the Gospel’s witness to Jesus.
Tue 9 Mark 15 16-32	The leaders of the children’s groups at St Paul’s meet with Alan this evening, we pray for the Lord’s blessing on work amongst children and that sufficient leaders would be forthcoming.
Wed 10 Mark 15 33-41	Lord, bless our farmers and all who work on the land; strengthen them when they are discouraged and help us all to work together as good stewards of this earth, its crops and its creatures.
Thu 11 Mark 15 42-end	Chris Butt leading assembly at Bredhurst school this morning on Prayer.
Fri 12 Mark 16 1-8	In a world whose web of life is intricate and beautiful, save us, Lord, from carelessness and blindness.
Sat 13 Mark 16 9-end	In a world whose waters are fresh and whose oceans should cleanse, save us Lord from wanton polluting.
Sun 14 Ps 143	In a world whose creatures are so varied and vulnerable, save us, Lord, from plundering and cruelty.
Mon 15 John 13 1-11	Governors’ Meeting at Bredhurst School. Give thanks for the one church school in the Parish and pray that it may retain a distinctive identity and ethos.
Tue 16 John 13 12-20	Early Steps exploring the theme “Sensing God’s Care”. May even the youngest know the care of God for them and grow in the knowledge and experience of that.
Wed 17 John 13 21-30	In a world whose forests protect our air and wild-life, save us, Lord, from the systems that drive us to destroy them.
Thu 18 Luke 1 1-4	Luke the Evangelist Healing God, we thank you for Luke, the “beloved physician” and for his faithful recording of the life of your Son and the birth of the Church.
Fri 19 John 14 1-14	In a world whose fruits are rich and plentiful, save us, Lord, from waste and greed.
Sat 20 John 14 15-end	Jan Steele Jazz Quartet Concert at St Matthew’s. Pray for many to attend and that those who come will enjoy the evening of entertainment.
Sun 21 Ps 147	Schools on holiday this week. Pray for families travelling and for their time together.
Mon 22 John 15 1-11	We give thanks for “Time Spies”, the annual holiday club at St Paul’s. Please pray for safety, enjoyment and many young people to grow in Christian understanding this week.
Tue 23 John 15 12-17	O Christ, our Morning Star, Splendour of Light Eternal, shining with the glory of the rainbow, come and waken us from the greyness of our apathy and renew in us your gift of hope. The Venerable Bede (671-735)
Wed 24 John 15 18-end	Lord, Jesus Christ, fill us, we pray, with your light that we may reflect your wondrous glory. So fill us with your love that we may count nothing too small to do for you, nothing too much to give and nothing too hard to bear.
Thu 25 John 16 1-15	Thursday Club Holy Communion. Give thanks for the leaders of Thursday Club and for all who work hard to provide a club where friendship blossoms for many on their own.
Fri 26 John 16 16-22	Pray for all who are ill especially those known to us. May sickness, sin and sadness to thy healing virtue yield.
Sat 27 John 16 23-end	As we plan and make decisions, God be our way. As we learn and ask questions, God be our truth. As we grow and as we change, God be our life.
Sun 28 Ps 116 &117	Many parents and children from the holiday club will be at St Paul’s this morning for special “Holiday Club Worship”, may the service be a fitting testimony to what God has been doing.
Mon 29 Luke 6 12-16	Please pray for Charis, Abbie and Poppy Jenkins as they begin a new school in Great Bookham today. May they establish good friendships very quickly.
Tue 30 John 17 6-19	PCC Finance Meeting. We give thanks for Nigel, John, Alan and Mike, our Church Treasurers and for Brian and Dilys, our Parish Treasurers.
Wed 31 John 17 20-end	Grant, O Lord, for the sake of those whose lives have been lost in war and for the sake of generations to come, that the nations of the world may learn your way of peace and that all may have a chance of life free from conflict.
