Thu 1 Isa 52 7-end	Ascension Day “He who descended is he who also ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.” (Eph 4:10) Lord fill us with a glorious sense of the reality of this.
Fri 2 James 1 1-12	Philip and James, Apostles Pray for young people taking important public exams in the coming weeks and for those making decisions about university places.
Sat 3 Luke 7 18-35	Parish Quiet Day at West Malling Abbey. Give thanks for the opportunity to step aside from our incessant busyness and be still.
Sun 4 Ps 104 26-35	Pray for Abbeyfields and Rogers House, the residents and staff.
Mon 5 Luke 7 36-end	Thank God for Olive Stratford, one of the first members of St Paul’s to meet at the new church in the Parkwood Community Centre over 25 years ago. We pray for Olive as she plans to move from Parkwood nearer to her family
Tue 6 Luke 8 1-15	Early Steps meet at St Matthew’s. Pray for St Paul’s Pathfinders aged 10-14 and their leaders Trevor, Janet and Helen.
Wed 7 Luke 8 16-25	Lord Jesus, killed by hate and raised by love, help us to be Your witnesses in a hostile world, to show most love where there is most hate and to live united with one another until You come again.
Thu 8 Luke 8 26-39	Pray for all who are ill especially those known to us. May sickness, sin and sadness to thy healing virtue yield.
Fri 9 Luke 8 40-end	Pray for those who have gone to other countries with the good news of Jesus, that when their work is difficult and tiring they may be made strong.
Sat 10 Luke 9 1-17	Diocesan Synod and Gathering. Pray for all involved in this day and those leading different workshops.
Sun 11 Ps 87	Day of Pentecost “………and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit”
Mon 12 Luke 9 18-27	First meeting of St Paul’s new DCC Pray for the residents of: Almond Grove, Hempstead Asquith Road, Wigmore
Tue 13 Luke 9 28-36	Pray for all the older members of St Paul’s congregation. Give thanks that we are a church family of many different ages.
Wed 14 Acts 2 37-end	Mathias the Apostle Meeting of the Deanery Clergy at lunchtime. St Matthew’s new DCC meet for the first time.
Thu 15 Luke 9 51-end	Pray for those who have gone to other countries with the good news of Jesus, that when they are lonely and homesick they may be reminded that He is with them to show them the way.
Fri 16 Luke 10 1-16	Pray for the residents of: Barleycorn Drive, Parkwood Barlow Close, Parkwood Barncroft Drive, Hempstead
Sat 17 Luke 10 17-24	Lyra (Russian vocal ensemble) Concert at St Matthew’s. Give thanks for the rich Russian Orthodox Christian tradition and for the sustaining of faith particularly through the dark years of Stalinism
Sun 18 Ps 86 8-13	Trinity Sunday “God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, are love so intense that they can never be separated and we are promised life lived fully in the love of God because God has chosen to make room for us.” Jane Williams We give thanks for the experience of the truth of this.

Tue 20 Luke 10 38-end	The first meeting of the new PCC. Pray for the residents of: Bayswater Drive, Parkwood Beke Road, Parkwood
Wed 21 Luke 11 1-13	St Matthew’s Nursery Management Committee meets. Pray for a continuing wisdom in the changing patterns of nursery education.
Thu 22 Luke 10 38-end	Thank you, God, for the gift of reading for big books and paperbacks, novels, histories and plays, romance and tragedy, cartoons and picture books, newspapers and comics, borrowed and bought, serious and fun, thank you for them all.
Fri 23 Luke 11 29-36	Give thanks for all who sing and play instruments to lead the music at St Paul’s. Thank you God that we can sing to you and praise you.
Sat 24 Luke 11 37-end	A happy heart makes the face cheerful…..Proverbs 15:13 Lord God when you made us, you made others too. Help us to get on with the people around us.
Sun 25 Ps’s 21, 23	Give thanks for Dave Rose who oversees the technology used during the St Paul’s 11am Services. Pray that everything will work well.
Mon 26 Luke 12 1-12	Hope 08 Day of Action in our communities. Give thanks for the opportunity of serving our communities in practical ways. Pray for Fleur and Neil Blain acting as co-ordinators.
Tue 27 Luke 12 13-21	Please continue to pray for the right person to come to St Paul’s as Team Vicar. Pray for Nikkii Griffith, Parish Warden, and Chris Waters, Church Warden, who have additional responsibilites through the vacancy.
Wed 28 Luke 12 22-31	We thank God for all who use their gifts in many different ways contributing to the life of St Paul’s for “though we are many, we are one body”.
Thu 29 Luke 12 32-40	St Matthew’s Thursday Club Service. Give thanks for all who serve the 100+ members of Thursday Club week by week and for all who are involved in providing a programme for the elderly in our communities.
Fri 30 Luke 12 41-48	Preserve us O lord while waking and guard us while sleeping. That awake we may watch with Christ and asleep we may rest in peace.
Sat 31 Mark 3 31-end	Visit of the Blessed Virgin Mary to Elizabeth Teach us to care and yet not to care. Teach us to sit still. T S Eliot
