The Community Concert Programme was founded in 2007, when it was realised that
following many succesful ad hoc concerts at the church, there was a place for a
high quality extended concert programme in a welcoming venue, which would be of
interest to the local community
and could be executed with a ticket price which would be attractive.
The programme does not seek to "make a profit" and is funded from
ticket sales. We have been fortunate to receive a number of generous donations specifically
in support of the programme and these, with our prudent approach, ensure the future of the
programme for future years. At June 2009 we received a donation of £1000 by Medway Council,
from the Rainham Central Ward Development Fund.
The motto of the programme is 'London Quality at Local Prices' and we aim to create
annual programmes which bring together performers, nationally and internatinally known and
from the local area, mixing a wide varity of musical styles to provide a series of events which we hope are attractive
to our audience.
